Evolution 2019, Providence, Rhode Island June 21 - 25

Once a year, evolutionary scientists and researchers from around the world gather to share the latest methods, research discoveries and ideas. The four day conference hosted over 2,000 attendees where over 1,000 talks were given, over 400 posters presented, and a lot of fun social events took place! We took turns manning our booth and attending sessions. Our daughter Arden attended as well, as an evolutionary biology college student and also helped us in our booth.

We were starstruck, meeting the people whose work we read in the science journals, people uncovering the story of how life evolved in the past and how it continues to evolve. As the world changes rapidly, their discoveries and knowledge will be essential in maintaining life on the planet, food production, biodiversity, conservation, and health. So much to learn!
